National Chip and Dip Day is pays homage to one of our favorite snack-food combinations. Chips and dip are definitely a staple on holidays and at parties.
According to HolidayInsights.com, National Chip and Dip Day is always March 23. The creator of the day is not known, but several calendar sites and personal Web sites mention the holiday.

tluck-style chip-and-dip party. "The possibilities are endless for the various combinations of chips and dip you can enjoy, so use your imagination," the Web site pitches.
Cdkitchen.com and cheapfamilymeals.info include a variety of recipes dedicated to this holiday.
According to library.thinkquest.org, other holidays and observances paying homage to the snack food industry include National Snack Food Month, observed in February, and National Pretzel Month in October. National Cheeseball Day is coming up on April 17 and National Pretzel Day is April 26, so stock up!

Chicken Dip Recipe
(also called Buffalo Chicken Dip)
Meal Preparation Ingredients:
1. 2 cans (10oz.) chicken chunks
2. 2 pkg. cream cheese
3. 1 cup ranch dressing
4. 1/4 pepper sauce
5. 1 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
Meal Preparation Directions:
1. Place cream cheese in shallow casserole dish and microwave on medium power for 2-3 minutes.
2. Stir in drained chicken, ranch dressing, pepper sauce and 1 cup of the cheese.
3. Sprinkle top with remaining cheese.
4. Microwave on high 2-4 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
Makes 6 cups – serves 20 to 24. Serve with crackers, tortilla chips or celery sticks.
