We, as Houstonians, revel in two things; our vast array of food and fun festivals featuring something wonderful about our city. Well, this weekend, we have two great opportunities to love both!!
HOUSTON RESTAURANT WEEKS: August 1st-31st
More than 100 of Houston’s finest restaurants are expected to participate in Houston Restaurant Weeks. Benefiting the Houston Food Bank, the event is an enticing opportunity for diners to try new hotspots or re-visit old favorites while helping fight hunger in Houston.
All participating restaurants will offer a three-course gourmet dinner for $35 per person, excluding beverages, tax and gratuity. Five dollars of each special dinner sold will directly benefit the Houston Food Bank. In addition to the dinner menu, select restaurants will offer a $20 two-course lunch menu, donating three dollars of each lunch sold to the Houston Food Bank.
You have to make reservations and only certain restaurants are participating, so be sure to check out the Houston Restaurant Weeks website for more information.
White Linen Night in the Heights: August 6th
This Saturday marks the 6th annual White Linen Night in the Heights, which draws 40,000+ to the streets of the bohemian suburb to revel in food, art, culture and businesses all centered in the Heights! This year, the big event has partnered with the Breast Health Collaborative of Texas (BHCT) to create a "Pink Street," which will host various grass-roots and better known awareness and survivor groups. Visit their website for more information including shuttle services.
