I received this information in my email yesterday and thought it was important to spread. The Houston SPCA does so much for neglected animals throughout the Greater Houston Area, so if you have thought about opening your heart and home to a pet, think about adopting a shelter pet; they are in desperate need!
There won't be polka bands, chicken dances, Bavarian costumes or beer, but there might just be a German Shepherd mix dog or two at the Houston SPCA's BARKTOBERFEST!
The Houston SPCA has seen an increase in the number of homeless hounds coming through our doors recently that need permanent, loving homes to call their own. Currently, we also have an abundance of medium to large dogs that have spent many months in our care. In order to help all of our canine friends, we are inviting the public to join us for BARKTOBERFEST!
During BARKTOBERFEST, all canines 6 months or older, weighing 30 pounds or more will be deeply discounted to half-off the normal adoption fee!
Hurry, this offer is good through Sunday, October 3, 2010 only. Visit www.houstonspca.org for more information.
